You have indeed captured these reflections well and I also like very much the simplicity of this photo. The blue colors in the water are truly lovely, and you have also brought out the fine shine and ripples.
Your photo is sharp and it is clear and well defined details to be seen in the wood together with very fine textures. I also think the exposure is spot on.
The photo is nicely cropped and by the placement of the remnants it is a fine balance in the composition. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo Allan, and I wish you luck with the contest.

I am sorry I am out of sixes...as I find this a very artistic composition...and quite a nature abstract. You have used your artistic eye again to create a composition of nature's beauty with interest for your viewer. Once must certainly stop and figure out where the reflection begins..as there is no water line to make a separation...not even the slightest circle around the stumps. Amazing!
Your brilliant blues are a fine choice and add to the abstract of this scene. That bit of white clouds is just enough to help your viewer understand what you captured here.
This is a fine entry for this contest! And a pleasure to view. Thank you for sharing and best of luck! :D

Hey, thanks for the thoughtful review and comments. You sure do study before just posting words.
On the side, I might have to ask my personal Santa for a monitor calibration device. I have had people say my images tend to be over saturated even though on my monitor it looks just normal.
Sorry for the delayed respond, been a little under of late.

You are most welcome.... I use Color Munki display to calibrate ambient lighting. Sometimes I think it is impossible to sustain that as the lighting changes throughout the day where I have my pc. So it doesn't do a lot of good. My images are almost always dark on FAR. I hope you are well.... :/

This looks a bit like a Stonehenge of the swamp, great subject matter. Still and peaceful, the clouds reflections are nice in the water

There is just something so appealing about dead trees. Although it is sad that they are dad, they and their reflections in the water create a very interesting composition.
