I love this unusual pose that you captured. I think birds on a fence post are so appealing. I like the golden highlight just at the top of the bill. The algae on the fence post adds a nice texture to the scene.

The camera settings for this wonderful shot of this little bird. I say that because this image is tack sharp from the tip of its beak to the very end of its tail feathers.

The correct use of a shallow DOF is no better displayed than in this fine shot. Foreground of incredible sharp focus juxtaposed in front of a cool and supportive background bokeh - classic.

The take off position adds tons of drama and visual impact.

Color and tonal range are bright accurate and complimentary of each other.

Thanks for sharing such a fine post ... B-)) Bob

I absolutely love this bird. He definitely seems intent on getting to the feed, his expression is a look of almost disbelief, he can't believe that he has come across some food at last, bless himð???

Your central composition is strong. Superb eye clarity....and nice is the expression and character captured on this Robin. Good light handling, with spot on sharp focus revealing good details and contrast. Your diffused backdrop accentuates your photography beautifully. This is very nice work and thanks for sharing!

this is a wonderful stop action Jo with this European robin ready to take off; in contrast to what people think, focus is sharp when looking at the head and wing tips; he has extremely fine feathers explaining the apparent soft focus,

This is a really cute pose! I like the torpedo type shape that he makes in preparation for take off. The depth is super attractive too. Very nice exposure.

What a cute little guy. Our American (or at least the ones who live here) robin mating pair arrived last week. I saw them outside. So nice. I hope no cat gets them. This is a really good capture. Sharp image. Thank you for sharing
