A fantastic capture, taken in great lighting natural lighting with superb clarity and timed to perfection as the very aptly titled piece shows this Heron and it's remarkably similar tutu to that of a ballerina in all its glory, standing tall and with the side profile dead on and capturing the detail and sharp and precise shape of the head and neck brilliantly. The intricate detail of the structure of the feathers and the colour changes from white to varying tones of grey is crisp and the white "rims" of the "tutu" and the triangular, almost heart shaped (in a sense) shape is incredible; almost like a slate statue. Good short DOF and contrasting foliage in the B/G and surrounding patchy ground accentuate the neatly cropped bird - a wonderful piece and best of luck in the competition! :)

Omg I cracked up laughing so hard when I saw this. I can't even compete with this. I showed it to my husband and he laughed so hard. He almost spit his coffee at me. What a fantastic capture. This is a winner in this contest for sure.
The perfect title for the perfect pose of a beautiful heron. I love the great blues and I have no idea how you captured such a unique pose. Absolutely amazing. Thank you for the hysterical laugh today. Now my day is going to be a great one because of this picture.
Photo is sharply focused, the background is a beautiful natural one that does not distract from the focal point of the photo. Colours are perfect.
Omg just wow and thank you for sharing this awesome funny pic.

This is a very humorous photo.
I love the proudness in his stance, with his head held high.
This is an overall wonderful scene.
That tutu on a bird is truly a different thing. I wonder what it signifies.
Great shot, thanks for sharing.

I love this humorous picture - it's a wonderful entry for the contest! You've named it perfectly - posing with his tutu. Your picture is clear and focused and you've framed him (or her) very nicely : ))) Best of luck!

This is a great entry into the Funny Animal Contest with a good title and I like that their is storytelling with your image. The initial impact is that expression captured on the Heron's face. His eyes really draw you in since they are so sharp. Good light handling and excellent details on the gorgeous Heron. Your diffused backdrop giving a pleasing look and isolating your subject from the background complimenting your photography. Good luck in the contest! I love this!
