It looks now a bit like a stained glass window. The colors are intriguing and harmonic. I would have given the flowers in the back a framing which resembles the golden metal of the birds. Perhaps an accentuation filter adds this effect. Maybe a small golden border around the whole composition would heighten the effects. The tight framing works well. The composition is balanced.

Hi Cleo, I am definitely behind with my thank you notes. I think sun-catchers look like stained glass too! Very pretty when the sun catches them. I definitely thought about accentuating the flowers with gold which might have given this a more finished look. I didn't know quite how to it though. I appreciate you suggestions a lot. Hello Nancy, try to accentuate the edges. You may have an accentuation tool or filter in your editing program. You also could try to add a small gold our yellow-orange colored border to the flower after you cut it from the original photo and than place the flower on the new background. :o)

That is one beautiful hummingbird, Helvi. The flowers are really nice as well and I think the black border fading into the blue is very effective. Just a very pleasing piece to look at.

This is beautifully done. The background is detailed not not enough to take away from the bird which is also detailed. The two complement each other. I especially like the glow behind the flowers. Very well done.

I really like the red and blue tones here, the hummingbird is so pretty and I like the deeper blue on his body and wing edges, the red / pink tones on the hummers crown , neck and worked through its beak and back feathers are the same tones that are seen in the beautiful Dahlia shaped flowers behind him. I feel that the blue tones in the background was a perfect choice as well to create a lovely work of art! Well presented!
