Wow! What a shot! Perfect focus. Every feather is clearly seen. I like the intensity of his looking. Even all the nuances and color shading of his beak is clearly visible. Great photo!

That aristocratic steely stare commands respect or create fear!
Excellent choice of subject.
An interesting initial impact.
Sharply focused. Fine features & textures.
Gorgeous illumination.
Bluer sky lends a soothing backdrop!

Nice capture of the bird. I like the sparkle in its eye. The detail in the feathers is amazing. The composition is good as is the exposure. Nice work.

Striking portrait! You captured the brown flecks on his breast and at the side of the wing facing the viewer;and, too, the diagonal stripes across the tail feathers. His eye is a yellow-black gem. The blue sky sets him off, beautifully.
Cordially,
Joanna Bachman

This is a intriguing bird portrait. The bird is perfectly placed into the frame. The branches also semi-frame him naturally. The bird and close branches show well defined details, especially at the head, the lower part of the body and the feet of the bird. The colors look natural. The photo is well framed and balanced. The tall framing emphasizes the pose of the bird.

Nice shot. I am surprised he sat still for this as they usually fly when trying to get close enough to photograph. I have a few shots of them and none were easy. This one looks like he is posing for you! Good job!

Lovely shot of this beautiful Red-tailed Hawk perched in the tree. I like all the patterns shown in the twigs and branches, too. I like the pose you caught here as he turns his head to the side. Very good lighting and focus showing excellent detail in the feather markings. Great composition. Suzanne
