Love your image it almost looks like a cake decoration. Your macro of this has beautiful lighting and focus and really shows off the center of the flower. Love how delicate it is! This poppy center was a joy too see and review. :o) Helvi

I have already seen some of the entries in this contest, but I have a feeling some people don't understand what a real macro is. You on the other hand understand what it is all about, and this is a great looking entry. I especially like the very delicate colors of this poppy, and how lovely the light is falling on it.
Your focus is spot on and sharp showing truly clear and well defined details both in the green center and the dancing yellow stamens, and the exposure is very good.
The format you have cropped the photo into works well, and the centered position of the poppy is perfect. Indeed a lovely and well taken macro photo, and I wish you luck with the contest.

The poppy is such a favorite with its paper like petals and the intricate center detail, the seed pod surrounded by the stamens with the lovely pink petals behind it is very well photographed with good focus, the image is clear, exposure is well managed , colors are beautiful and appear natural.
