A pretty good entry into the competition posted here! Your fine and traditional composition offers us an enjoyable look at the deer before you and their nice location. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

It does look like three female Elk probably grazing on the grassland. Natural colors and tones in the scene. Good lighting, nice detail, sharp focus, good DoF, and well balanced photo and nicely composed in the frame. Overall, a Very Beautiful Wildlife Photograph, well done!

You're Very Welcome!

Delightful. I love white rumped herbivores, especially big horned sheep. You wonder why they are marked this way as you would think it makes them a bull's eye for a predator....

I think these must be the famous Tule Elk that they have at Point Reyes. A very nicely composed shot with somewhat over saturated colors. Good luck in the contest.

Hi Mike. Yes . You're right. Sorry .I was not familiar with these North American Species. I googled and found the explanation as follows:
"The coats are light, buffy beige with a darker brown long haired mane circling the necks of both the males and females. The calves are similar to deer fawns, with a light brown spotted coat. All animals display a prominent white rump. They average 7 feet in length and stand 4-5 feet in height at the shoulder."
I have added a foot note to my notes. Thanks again.

This is an interesting scene with the three white tailed deer grazing in the wild, this allows a good sense of location and the natural behavior of deer.
Well focused, this image is clear, exposure is well managed, the colors and tones appear natural, I like the way the light touches the deer, bringing out their warm color.
Well composed and presented!
