This deer is truly cute. The lighting and focus are good and the overall capture gives us a great look at this lovely doe. The lighting of the background is a touch bright but overall still works as you have good light on the doe. It is such a treat for a photographer to come across this kind of opportunity.

A beautiful profile portrait of this Sika deer in the grounds of Muckross House Co. Kerry sniffing the grass to see who's been there before her. The tall grasses making a beautiful background. Darling deer sniffing. The grasses in green and yellow-greens are rather nice. It is a simple scene; however, it is so naturally cute. The deer kind of looks sad too.

A serene look at a flat head (Doe).

You have captured a fine and very detailed image of this Doe. The eye is crystal clear and razor sharp.

The overall focus has the entire visible portion of the deer is sharp clean focus - no soft spots.

The color of her fur is accurate and natural in appearance.

The background is in subtle bokeh and compliments the deer.

The deer is so lovely, and I really like the close and personal approach, and also how well you have captured the eye. The background looks great, and the animal is standing out from it in an excellent way.

The photo is sharp and it is truly clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the deer, and the exposure is perfect.

The tight cropping has worked well, and the deer has got a fine placement within the frame. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo with a fine DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.
