This is immediately delightful to see and my first thought was that this would be such a wonderful page in a children's storybook, I worked with kids and I have grandkids and my favorite thing was reading the young children stories ,
This is so well created, I know that as usual there was a process with many steps.
Nessie is adorable and by looking at her face, see she is happy to be there exploring in the mountains, there are some pretty evergreen trees and a deer off behind her on the left , the deer appears to be searching for a bite to eat.
I love the way Nessie shows us how deep the snow is as her low parts are buried,
This is awesome my friend and it's truly a pleasure to view!

Hi Pat, I've been meaning to put my other images of Nessie in a book here on FAR. I just created it and it's called "Nessie's Adventures". Nessie is the same image you found here but I put her in other locations. I know your not suppose change old images, but though I have the same image of Nessie the locations are not the same. Hope that was ok to do. If it's not I'll get rid of the book. I hope you'll take a look and have fun seeing what I did! Thank you for the wonderful review of Nessie Up North! I'm so glad you enjoyed what you saw! :o) Nancy

Oh Nancy, what a wonderful little story to go with this great picture! I love your imagination - melting the snow with her nose and leaving puddles wherever she goes! Priceless!
Oh yes, please do make a book about her travels - and then go get it published! It would be a wonderful children's book.
You've set my day off with a smile, thank you.
Charlotte

Thank you so much Charlotte! It always makes me happy when I know I gave someone a smile! Glad you liked the little tale I told. My book will actually be right here at FAR, where I can put all of Nessie's Adventures in one place. :o) Nancy

A wonderful story, you should write children's books and illustrate them. This is a fun piece whether art, photography digital or whatever. Your knowledge has brought together a delightful landscape, partly realistic with humour in characterisation. Your colour pallet is true to the scene and quite beautiful.

Hi Brenda,I don't think of myself as a traditional or digital artist so illustrating a book would be hard. Thank you so much for the lovely review and compliments! I am honored! :o) Nancy

Just go back and click on Nessie up North. It will say the image is in a book called Nessie's Adventures. It will list the chapters and the title of each image. :o)

You have created the essentials of the North Pole . Instinctively. It feels good looking at colours, abstract shapes, textures. Good show. Thanks for sharing!

A good looking nature image posted here! Your fine and classical composition offers us an amusing view of that lost looking monster. Colours, textures and tones are good. Nicely created!

Lovely mixed media photography with the digital art and your composition in this fantasy style. I like this work, especially the blue-tinted mountains, the sky and birds. The lock ness monster is cute too.

So very creative and fun Nancy! I like that you have created this from scratch in the most part. The frosty feel is well portrayed and I like the depth that the tall snowy mountains bring. Super cute and unique! Thanks for sharing :-)

I have been to Loch Ness, and now I of course understand why I never spotted Nessie. LOL I think you are wrong about the location of her though. I think she went to Norway. This is easy to see by the high mountains and all the snow.

I really like the way you have pictured Nessie. She looks really cute, and I like the expression in the face. I also like the fine textures of the snow.

The format and framing is perfect, and it is a very good balance in the composition. This is indeed a creative and well done mixed media Nancy.

Well your Nessie is simply adorable. She is defintely enjoying the snow more than I am. I'm quite tired of it now. This is such a fun piece to view. You did a wonderful job and presented it perfectly. Love it!
