What an interesting style of waterfall. I have never seen anything like it.The construction is unusual. I would be interesting to know more about it.
Sounds like a fun place to go as a kid.

What a wonderful capture. I think this will do very well in this competition. The angle is so right to show this waterfall in all its manmade glory within its natural surroundings. I enjoyed your notes also.

Thanks so much for the review. I love explaining the background behind a photo. It gives more definition to the over all appeal I think. Could also be the writer in me needing to explain everything lol.

What an interesting entry for this contest! I love the way the sluice boxes form a waterfall.love the way the green foliage frames it.
Well captured with good focus, this image is clear, exposure is correct, colors snd tones appear true and natural.

This is a good idea for a small waterfall shot. The surrounding greenery really sets the scene well and the composition is good although I think that I would have got down a bit lower so that the final waterfall was in the shot a bit more higher up if you see what I mean. It appears to be in focus, although the front is very slightly blurry, and the lighting is good.

This is a good idea for a small waterfall shot. The surrounding greenery really sets the scene well and the composition is good although I think that I would have got down a bit lower so that the final waterfall was in the shot a bit more higher up if you see what I mean. It appears to be in focus, although the front is very slightly blurry, and the lighting is good.

Interesting as the wood looks like its in pretty good shape, interesting way to get the water to come and wash the sand. Great idea actually and a great find for you to photograph, I have never seen something like this before

What catches my eye is the symmetry of this take. Your camera angle shows the viewer all of the stages with water flow - Excellent.
The shutter release is just right for this take. If it were of a traditional type of falls I would expect a little longer exposure, but not here were there is a small flow.
Thank you for not over saturating the greens - a very common mistake.
White balance is spot on and gives the entire scene a natural appearance.

Interesting construction and reminds you of old western films where they panned for gold etc,straight forward view of this and thats okay whether you could have got a better photo who knows maybe a lower perspective could have been better...Brian
