The gray heron is rather pretty and large, with those gray, white, and dotted (in its front) feathers. Seems she/he is looking. I almost couldn't see the head until I saw the white on top of it. Almost looks like the limb it is on in laying on the ground.

I think it's digesting it's last meal while standing on one leg. It's crest feathers slightly raised. The dried autumn leaves making a beautiful backdrop. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
