This took time and it is really good. The forms are great! I like you so aptly showing the opposing views within one's self. The halves are well drawn and the words etched in add so much to the meaning. Best wishes in the contest.

Oh this is very clever artwork. Both as a concept and the way it's been executed. I can identify with it so much and you've demonstrated so much skill here. The black and white works perfectly. It's a fantastic entry for the contest and a definite contender for a win. I'm just sorry that I don't have a 6 left. Here's a virtual 10.

This is a very creative and captivating art piece. Yin and Yang. Stop and Go. I agree that we all have this inner conflict from time to time and the resolution helps define us.
The drawing is beautifully done and the use of black and white makes the message stronger. Very well done!

Visual strong image and love the idea behind this one and yes guess at some point we all have conflicts sometimes guess that what humans do so this is really good in that respect, not sure why the line through the middle though, better without that but minor point as the idea still comes across and thats the main thing...Brian

Thank Brian, this is actually a two piece diptych that is framed with a black frame. I did it for a juried show and they only allowed simple black frames.

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine, full and appropriate composition, of mirror images of a woman do well illustrate and explain the thoughts in your notes. Nicely created!

Lisa, I love the concept. You have presented the human traits and beliefs into stark black and white into a struggle between opposing ideas. This defines the stark differences in black and white, but in reality there is a certain balance as you have noted, that changes constantly, swinging between two extremes defining your mood at the time. Thank you for sharing your wonderful analysis of the human thought process and the counter parts. The results are an amorphous array of grey. Ray

I love this SO much! This exact struggle has been way too real for me lately, so I appreciate this so much! The symmetry is so impressive, and this is the first piece of art I've ever seen that incorporates handwriting without ruining the whole thing. It actually adds to and enhances it. I love the yin-yang inspiration. It's absolutely amazing! Best of luck!
