doing flowers in b/w i think is difficult and mostly don,t work,however this does and its a crisp photo which contrasts well with the darl leaves at the top in this Plus the leaves at the bottom form a nice setting as well,good one...Brian

This is a beautiful image of a rose, but I think the white is too overblown and takes away from the detail of the flower. otherwise, the details of the petals are excellent.

This certainly deserves a 6, but unfortunately I'm all out. This is a stunning shot that you have taken and a terrific entry for the black & white contest. I totally expect you to win it. The detail that you were able to achieve getting is phenomenal and even works spectacularly in black & white. I love the.
Way you chose to focus on just the one single flower.The placement of the focal point is perfect and all of the leaves and water drops around it frame it just perfectly.
