I like this image. The houses and shading of the houses is great. I love the trees, I can sense the feel of movement here. The tornado is great, the hugeness of it is really displayed nicely here.

Thank you for sharing this deeply evocative pencil drawing. The moment you chose to captureâ€"the Rochelle-Fairdale tornadoâ€"is both historically significant and emotionally charged. Your rendering carries a quiet intensity, reflecting not just the sheer force of nature but also the quiet resilience of those who faced it.

I can sense the thought and respect that went into this piece, especially given the background you've shared. Knowing that this was drawn from a real moment, involving an older gentleman's home, adds a deeply human layer to it. You've managed to convey not just the chaos of the storm, but also the silence before and afterâ€"something only a truly observant artist can do.
Thank you for preserving this memory through your art. It's powerful, sobering, and beautifully done.
Regretably, I have run out of my limited sixes. This deserves a ten. All the best.

You did a good job depicting what you saw during the tornado. Scary times those tornadoes are!
I would love to see you use some darker lines for emphasis and shadows.
Good effort!

Thank you so much! I got this off a video from an older gentleman filming this twister coming towards his house

Devonte, this tornado was certainly a doozy and it was ten years ago. I hope they have rebuilt the forty miles of destruction. Did you take the video? Just curious. Thanks fo sharing. Ray

Yessir, it was! They did rebuild the path where the tornado took and made sure to add shelters! There was a lot of talk about why this twister should had been rated an EF5 with good evidence. No sir, I don't live in that area. There was a documentary on this tornado that I watched. An older gentleman filmed this tornado coming towards his house. It did destroy his house and unfortunately took his wife and her best friend life (the only 2 fatalities of this tornado). Thank you so much!!

A good looking image posted here into the competition, together with sad, yet interesting notes too. Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us a very enjoyable view of the events of that terrible day. Textures, tones and detail are fine. Well drawn and good luck!
