This is one of those that just makes you stop and smile. Fantastic detail and I love your use of colors. The painting is weighted down and the bottom and I find that very grounding. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice composition. I really like how you were able to achieve the depth to the water area. Plants on the ocean floor are also well painted. Colors blend very well together and fish are well done also. Good impact for the viewer that makes you feel as though you are right there. Well done.

Thank you so much. I'm happy I took you under water right to our reef.

This is really lovely Cleo. You have captured the underwater tones excellently and the angel fish seem to be so tranquil just floating along enjoying the scene. Your lighting is very pretty, makes the whole scene so inviting. Best of luck :)

Thank you so much. and sorry for being late. Your review means a lot to me since you have seen the "real thing" yourself.
The new program I used may interest you. It's an almost unknown, inexpensive, easy to use paint program called ArtRage 2.5. You can download it from KAGI for $ 25,-. I think Amazon sells it for $50,-. Sirthomas and artragist work also with that program with surprising success.

A very colourful and decorative composition of tropical underwater life.
Well lit with accent on the vegitation
and clearly defined markings on the fish in the picture.

If not hanging on a wall, this would make a nice picture on a greeting card, calendar or similar. Nice composition and great colour and interest. All up it?s a well constructed DA painting and I enjoyed reviewing it. Robin

Not a problem. Wow...your teacher? That is a very nice compliment. I feel the same about many on this site too. Ain't it GREAT? Robin

This is beautiful! I can see you're learning quickly and using the layers to create the underwater feeling and the depth. The fish are faster to do with the stencils, and I love the touches of paint in the foreground plants at the bottom. A lovely job done with a difficult subject. I love the reefs and any art that celebrates them, especially as beautifully as this painting does.
Hugs for a great job, Cleo!
Sara :-)

Wonderful job making this look underwater, Cleo. I feel like I'm swimming right along with the fish. The composition is excellent and the lighting is beautifully done. Super choice of colors. The stripes on the fish make them stand out just enough and blend excellently with the rest of you painting. Wonderful job, and I'm well aware of the work you put into it. I wish I had a six for you, this certainly deserves it. Kudos to you on such a beautiful piece! :)

Don't worry about being late, my friend. That seems to be my middle name. I feel like a snail lately LOL. I just hope everyone understands. Painting an underwater scene is not easy. With the lighting the way you did, it is just super. Beautiful, beautiful work, Cleo!!
