Great image and great entry for the contest. Never been to Memphis - so thanks. This is a grand revival from your archives - different from what I generally see. Love the color and the distorted scale of things. Makes me think, "It really is the musician that has the power of any city, Memphis being no exception." Thanks for familiarizing me with Memphis. I am always amazed at the detail in which you put your artistry. It is evident in the flowers as well as more serious pieces like this. The detail of the moon reflection on the water with the words is inspiring. What can I say? I love it. I treat myself to a veiw each time you post. Thanks for sharing

This is an interesting compilation of landmarks and if I'm getting the message correctly they are all in Memphis.
Your blues angel looks like he has been caught napping by you or is he just doing his angel thing and watching over the town!
Not sure I'm entirely up to speed with this one MK but the graphics are really great and your rendering with the ink markers is brilliant.

A super presentation and composition again, very nice idea for this contest topic - it seems that is you as you are looking at the world and their special skills to make a sharpie design - this one seems to say, who is next - in which house can I find the next victim? LOL - amazing detail work, perfect color choice - the blues in the heart connected to the stars - wonderful in skills, in accuracy in deepness and perfection - all the best for the contest

I think this has great colors and composition. It seems pretty centered and balanced with all the elements. It has the kind of mood that would look great in a trendy grill or theater. Very creative concept. I was thinking the hands look a little small and the perspective on the red Sun building is slightly off on the roof, but this is still a fascinating concept with the angel of blues music, so to speak.

I love this! Makes me miss Memphis. I was there from '86 to '93 and go back every year to visit family who live 70 miles or so from Memphis. I love the colors you've chosen, the royal blue of the night sky work beautifully with the other colors. Beautiful piece!
