I think I know the artists here and this on I attribute to Cleo! I love that it feels like a drawing-and a well drawn one at that! Good tonal range and excellent detail on the face and the facial structure. The eyes are simply superb! I am still examining the imagery in the background as it feels like she is emerging from an enchanted lice forest. Delightful piece! Jean

Good tonal range and excellent detail on the face and the facial structure. The eyes are simply superb! Wistful, delicate, imaginative, and beautifully executed! The random background could provide hours of pondering by itself, but it's the face that pulls it all together. The poem is certainly more than mere embroidery, with its allusion to dreaming, which so often rises from a turbulent tangle toward a clear and memorable image. I found myself wondering whether you had intended to put a face in from the start or discovered it along the way. Either way, it's a captivating image.
I have no suggestions to improve on what you've done and hope to see more of your work.

The face was intended. Actually it was separately painted and later merged into the picture. The background is not as random as it seems. There are creatures and locations hidden within.

I thought there might be other creatures in the maelstrom, even if I had to imagine them. Couldn't discern them due to the size on screen, I guess. I'll look again. ; )

Not easy to find. I was inspired by the books and art of Kit Williams, truth I have long ways to go to reach his quality. I painted the background, but than used the brushes for distortion. Look at the far left. You may find a figure bend over a small village. There are more; but they are even harder to find because most are surreal creatures.
