Thanks Brian. Actually I like the bottom part better myself. I will check about additional photos of this area. I actually don't think this will go anywhere in the contest as the bird is almost an after thought in this one. I now try to do a bit of the unconventional in these contests and give an artistic look as apposed to the standard focus on the subject of the contest theme. To come up with something different is more important than winning any contest. Thanks for the review Brian ~ Steve

Very awesome photo. It's been sometime since I have been to Yellowstone. I need to revisit.
The photo is really surreal looking. It's almost like a dream with the colors and mist.
The tree has a few anthropomorphic moments that also lend themselves to multiple meanings and interesting interpretations.

Just lovely. I was supposed to go there in June but it didn't work out. It is still on my bucket list. I love the sky colors and the steam pools. The bluebird atop the dead tree limb is such a wonderful essay on the cycle of life.

Thank you very much Linda for your wonderful review and comments. Oh I hope you do get to Yellowstone. I practically grew up there and I simply cannot get enough. Plan on several days at least. So much to see and it is best to take your time...And camera ~ Steve
