This is a beautiful photograph of this lovely rose. Lighting, focus and clarity are perfect and a nice contrast with the green leaves. A great initial impact. Nicely done!

Yes this is a beautiful closeup of a beautiful flower. The flower is well placed in the picture. There seems to just enough light green leaves over the dark spaces to support the vision of the flower. Just a really pleasant picture that is worth pausing for to enjoy simply looking at it. Reasons for my five star vote.

It is a truly beautiful rose Mike, and you have pictured it so well. I especially like how lovely the light is falling on the rose, and also how well it is standing out from the background.
The focus on the rose is spot on and sharp showing such clear and well defined details in the petals of the rose, and the exposure is very good.
The format and framing is perfect, and the rose has got such a fine placement within the frame. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo with a good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Nice edit, soft colourings, and wonderfully framed (though would kinda be nice to see the full bud at the top there).
I like the little bit of leaf in front of the rose. I like it's soft colour. Many would tend to oversaturate an image like this and you haven't - so love it's most natural looking edit.
