This sunset is just out of this world, and it almost looks like the sky is set on fire, and the sea is as red as blood. It is indeed a painting of a Master. You have captured such a fine shine in the water and a lovely light in the sky.

The silhouetted trees and hills are standing out sharp and well defined against the sky, and the exposure is spot on.

The format and framing is perfect and with the trees off to the right, it is a very good balance in the composition. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo Steve, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

    I have to tell you Annie that receiving such an extraordinary review from someone of your caliber of photographer is humbling and at the same time very encouraging. In all truth your review and commentary is better than the image itself. Thank you so much Annie ~ Steve

Magnificent photograph of this sunset. I love the colors of the sunset reflecting in rippling water. Good focus and lighting. Sharp detail. Well composed. Nicely done. Good luck in the photo contest.

easy to recognize your pics without seeing the name; a very impressive sunset scene enhanced by your use of various filters; I loke the resulting colors in the sky;

I like this sunset shot because it is so classical in its concept and execution and in its atmosphere; The light, colour and the composition have worked well. Good luck!

Look at all these colours, wow, this is some sunset, Love the clouds in the middle of that fire sky, the reflection on the water is superb, its like fire in the sky, I bet this did not last very long as the night progressed the colours change and that moment is gone, great presentation

    Wow. Thank you Lise for your wonderfully artistic review and More than generous rating. You are right about the short time frame to capture a scene such as this. From start to finish there is only a 5 minute window where the colors build to a climax and then quickly fade. I always arrive early to my chosen spot and then wait for the 5 minute window. Thank you again for your wonderful review Lise ~ Steve

Wow, Steve you have some pretty cool filtering going on there. I am awed by intense coloured sunsets and cloud formations that the Artist of The Sky presents to us. Not always but the majority of the time. This is amazing! Looks like a painting especially the clouds. I love the various colours of oranges/reds/yellows/grey merging and swirling as if a paint brush has been used. Beautiful reflection on the water and I love the silhouetted trees and land mass on the right side. Wonderful capture my friend

    Wow. Thank you so much Chris for your artistic review and commentary. I just love that "The Artist of The Sky" presents a scene for me to attempt to capture. I can never take credit for any of the photos I take. I am often privilaged to see what "The Master" paints and then I push the cell phone button when I am told to do so. Thank you again Chris ~ Steve

The quality of the filters has no doubt added to this,and almost looks like an oil painting,it has a mystical feel as well,but more important I like the piece of land on the right seems to balance the whole thing up,good one...Brian
