Great job showing emotion in this simple drawing. I like the title; it suits this drawing perfectly. I think it's great how drawings like this can tell a story. You were able to use no color and little contrast to evoke emotion and craft a story with this drawing, and I think that's another great dimension of artistic skill.

Andre Three Thou,
thank you once again, for your support of my artwork and me, it is greatly appreciated. And for your high praise of artistic skills, I like doing these types of drawings were you are trying to show a lot, in this case empathy, with as few lines as possible.
Stay safe and take care.
Cheers,
Lucien

Lucien,
A beautiful & very skilful pencil drawing of this pair of horses nose to nose emotions clear to see. Created by your artist's eye for composition, your knowledge of horse anatomy & behavior & the gifted ability to convey on your canvas what your eye sees. Very skilful draftsmanship in bringing this pair of horses to life on your page.

A very fine drawing. The horses eyes convey a degree of concern about each other that is hard to find in people nowadays. A very nice composition that captures a complex emotion with a minimum of strokes.

Mike,
wow, I am blown away, 6 stars, very much appreciated. What else is there to say... other then, thank you, I am honored. I wasn't sure about entering this piece because of like you said, "... its minimum strokes..." most want full up rendering.
Again thank you.
Have yourself a wonderful day.
Stay safe
cheers

Yes I can see how well you have captured the feeling of concern here.
This is a nice line drawing for the contest. I would like to see it a bit darker.

A very good looking drawing posted here into the competition! Your fine and appropriate composition grants us a good view of the concern being expressed by the horse on the left. Well drawn and good luck!

I think that this is an excellent example of line art drawing. Some people might think details are too sparse, but in my opinion they are not. The desired expression of concern is evident. Several techniques as crosshatching, waving lines etc. are used. Proportions and perspective are exact. The composition is balanced, although, too tight framed at lower margin in my opinion.

Cleo,
thank for your time in looking at my artwork and then leaving me your thoughts on my drawing, they are appreciated. I understand your thought about them coming off the page along the bottom margin, and yet it works because you focus on the eyes and that slight touching of their nose, for me that sealed the emotions, the feeling of concern.
Have a nice day,
and be safe.
Cheers.

Oh my goodness, this is almost perfect!! The facial expressions of the horses are wonderful. The one on the right seeming infinitely sad, and the one on the left looking so very concerned. Well done, and in such a beautifully simple manner.
I like this very much!

Wow, that is a question, but I will try to put it in words. Be aware that this is the totally personal opinion of someone who viewed your picture without knowledge of how to do what you are doing. All I personally would possibly have liked are slightly softer lines, but really, I do love it a lot!
