This is lovely. Is this a ruby throated hummingbird? Your mixed media has given it a different look.
I think it's very pretty and effective.
Lighting and clarity are good and your composition is good as well.

Thank you so much for your comments! This is an Orange Rufous hummingbird- as with other hummers the male has the red or colored throat.

Wonderful mixed media photograph with good layering technique. The image is flawless with not visible editing and that makes a good presentation.

A nice job although the flowers are a bit too small compared to the size of the hummingbird. They are usually a bit longer than a ruby throat. A very nice composition though with great colors. Best of luck in the contest.

Very special. I guess I'd prefer the red gradient behind the humming bird to be a bit more subtle but it turned out very nice and that is just a matter of preference... Thanks for sharing!
