Great technique. The shading with a sharpie blows my mind. The graduation (how's that) of blues in the sky is incredible. Foreground of sand is a nice touch. Great as usual.

many shades of blue..thanks god sharpie is making the multitudes of colors like they do nowdays. back about a few decades ago the only choice i had was red, blue, green, and black..try working with just that...i did though..evil grin...thanks for the great review.

I like this image a great deal. Your interpretation of the sun with rays and reflection is interesting and different. Some might say the sun and rays should be coloured but I like the white interpretation. I also like the textured appearance all over the image, rather than solid colours. Very attractive and I could live with this on my wall.

than sk again for the great review.

Terrific. The color is super, the composition is super and the alignment is super. What else is left, right? I even get the drift of concept. However, the only thing I would have done differently is put the sun over the cross. Reason: I believe that the sun would rule being superior to the cross because it is indeed the light of the world. Even though we may believe that the cross, if you will is the ruler of the universe, without the sun, there would be no life. Just my opinion.
This is just a superior creative work of art and all I am doing is putting a different spin on it.
You have talent and I hope you are trying to publish. If you are having trouble trying to publish go to library and find books on how to market art. It is a tough world out there but you show talent and you will not have trouble getting somewhere. Just keep working at it.
Sincerely,
John Hoepfner

You've illustrated my favorite scene! A beach scene with gorgeous sunny skies and beautiful water. I love the reflection of the sun on the water and the pink/purple mountains in the distance! You can do landscapes and I love how your style shines thru!

This is an interesting piece, for me at least it is a separation from what I would normally see on this site. Well done with the explosive color, this appears almost angelic, well done my friend.
