This photo is amazingly beautiful. I love how you changed the colors to give it that antique feel. Great creativity. Your depth of focus is fantastic. Great work!!!

Mant his time photography contest to me is by far the best competition i Have seen ever on FAR ... they ought to give us bonus stars to give out on competitions cuz am plum out of 'em here ... Awesome piece including the metaphor dismantling of time here .. where my observer goes is to see you have the same time on both faces of the clock ... and that creates a story in my own making ... is your father grandmother pictures reflective of the time shown on the clock (picture taken about the same time) the separation of time so represents the gaps we are left to fill in with the stories of what might have been ... this is a gallery piece to be seen by many ... BRAVO

I'm not in the contest but I've caught myself several times wondering what I would do (create) if I was. When I pulled up this image I initially chuckled because it's along the same lines as what I was imagining. We are born and the race against time begins. Cant wait to crawl, walk, ride a bike, drive a car, achieve success, retire. I keep reminding my kids there is no trophy at the end of this race. Slow down and enjoy the seconds, minutes and hours we have been blessed with today! I can tell you put some thought and time into this image. Very well done. I like the aged sepia tone. Great reproduction of the older photo's. Good Luck.

I can see some of you in your Grandmother. I can find your work without that hint. You have a style that none here have. This is a clever creation for this contest.
Love the vintage look and the mood of this. I am drawn in by the sentimental notes and your Grandmother's eyes.
The vintage oval frames, I too have from Italy, but I made them more modern. I love all the layers that make this just oh so lovely and emotive.
Well done!

Your notes touched me, and of course I love the time it took to create this lovely memory and for me it meant a lot to see your father and Grandmother.

Thank you so much. I was touched myself when I made this.

The color harmony, in this is very pleasing, it enhances the composition and feeling of old en times. The flow of the composition is okay. But I am thinking it looks too funneled. I might have made the clock on the right even larger, making it more a background supporting image. I also might have made them larger so that the two persons are more the focal point of the image, as it is all elements seem to have the same weight within the composition, when I am thinking they should be the focal point.
To me a great idea that needs a little shuffling in how the components are placed within the frame.

This is a beautiful way to present the old portraits of your departed loved ones. I remember a photo of my maternal grandmother that looked quite similar. Maybe it was the hair-style, popular in that day and age for independent-minded young women. My grandmother died when I was two, so I never had a chance to ask her much of anything, yet that photo still sticks in my mind and I wonder what she experienced as a young mother. Thanks for sharing this, and good luck in the contest.

A very good entry for the time contest. Got the meaning of this work immediately. I like the sepia tones used which gives the impression of age and this fits in with the look of the women in one photograph. She appears to be from the 1920's or around that time. Like the perspective with each frame taking the eye along into the background. The background is very decorative with lots of overlaid images. This would have been a great entry for the Frames contest too. Good Luck.

Thank you very much for the lovely review and for the good luck wishes. I don't know for sure when this photo was taken, but my grandmother was 22 in 1920, and my guess is that this photo is taken in the twenties.
