OMG! I first think this a photograph. Reading your notes i am told that this is a painting. Very adorable skill in painting. Especially for the eyes. They look real. More beautiful than glasses. well done.

I have to laugh at myself. I was looking at your work, thinking that this looks like a paint but the eyes look so real. Then I scrolled down and read what you wrote. The details in the feathers are incredible. Excellent colors and the eyes rock. Since I am a photograph and know very little about painting. Maybe someday I will learn. But I wonder if a vignette would bring out the eyes more? Beautiful work and thanks for sharing.

This is amazing. Better than most photographs I've seen of this beautiful, distinguished bird. Your outstanding skill/talent at rendering such an image is undeniable. The piercing eyes are especially life-like. The texture realized in the feathers provide dimension while colors are expertly blended. A big high 6 on this one:)
