This cowboy and horse drawing is nicely done. The cowboy and the horse look real and proportional. The shadowing gives it a 3-D look. Good job.

counrtyboxtexas, thank you for the great review, the action or drama was the first thing I was trying to capture, then the horse, and then the rider, I'll keep your comments in mind
for the next one... have a great day... LvO

Very well done. I can see the total concentration on the mans face and the intensity of his mood through his body language. The horse looks keven more intent in it's eyes. I am a little concerned about the angle on the horses body on the turn. he's to low on the shoulder to the ground.?

frenhie68, I know it look intense, the angle, but that's what I was driving towards, when I've watched this event in the past, I've seen them take turns where I know they are going to go down and they don't... I think it adds to the drama...Thanks for the review... LvO

ahh ok now I understand.. and yes I can see what you mean lol.. when I look at this I cringe thinking they both are gonna go down.. you deffinately succeeded in teh drama aspect of it.
Comment from Lynjupiter
This is great Lucien, Very nicely done. The muscular form of the horse at work is clear and vivid. The rider's face is good and his eye shaded by the hat. All around great.

I appreciate the great quality of you pen, and ink drawing to create your horse with rider. great modulation of tone, which creates great contrast of black, and whites. You almost create the perfect drawing, great line, and proportion.
great job.

This reminds me of the good old days-I use to do this as a teenager at the fairs.
WOW! They still barrel race huh?
Replaced this with Tripping the Rift-LOL
My how we have changed for the worse.
Where were those days of no computers, games and crap
Now we wonder why we are gaining weight and our minds are turning to mush

I like this effect with the western rodeo style pieces. It seems to enhance the image. It must take a great amount of patience for pieces like this. Well done.

Very Nice. I especially love the horse. You can really see the muscles in the horse. The rider i can't tell if it is a man or a woman. Looks like it is probably a woman. Maybe a little more detail in the rider. Overall it is great.

Oh yeah - this is faboo! Looks like Chris Cox or one of his cronies! The horse is my favorite part - I will leave the man alone - although I must say this one is less stiff! :-) These must have taken hours - days - weeks. Is your hand sore? Mine is and I have never done one of these!!
