This picture immediately drew me in, because of the story that it suggests. The composition is strong, the colors realistic, and the DOF works well in this situation. I would consider cropping the top somewhat, although it works well this way too.

You have me thinking I really need to start using Topaz Lens Effects... Fabulous image with some wonderful visual appeal. Nice and natural looking with powerful natural color and wonderful lighting. Great detail as well. Visual perfection - guess at some point I'll get in there and play around! :-)) Thanks for sharing!

great story and the image is quite lovely, I think the image looks like an illustration for a story, it provides a backdrop for the viewer to imagine where the road leads, where it has been ; I might crop it a bit closer to the roof or top of the tree in order to bring the figure into the main area of view

Excellent shot, Annie. Plus I love your notes. Composed so very well with the angled building, placement of the woman, anchoring tree, and beautiful hillside backdrop. Clear with natural colors and great detail. A fine shot - a joy to review and view.
