The softness of this piece is lovely. The shading and highlights do a beautiful job of conveying the silky coat of the foal. The details of the eye and nose are outstanding. Such a peaceful and calming image. This piece begs the viewer to reach out and touch it. I just love it.

Glena, this is such a lovely Stallion. You have captured the shine in his black coat so very well, the glimmer in his eye and the softness of his fur. Very nice. I feel as though I could reach out and pet it.

You have created a commendable horse portrait artwork. These descriptive words immediately come to my mind when viewing your stallion painting: of noble bearing, majestic, sleek, strong. Your artwork also fondly reminds me of one of my favorite movies: Black Beauty- 1971 and 1994 versions, and the 1979 film- The Black Stallion- starring Mickey Rooney.

Your proportions are perfect and the amazing detail you have created with furrows and veins in the face are EXTREMELY stunning and life like.
