I like the composition here. I might have suggested cropping to move the boat off centre but I feel that it works well as it is here. It conveys to me the wide open spaces and the emptiness of the river other than this one solitary fisherman. It tells a good story.

Thank you for sharing your notes. I can appreciate the story depicted here. The image is a little dark for my taste. Although I do like the rich green foliage. While I do like the bend in the waterway and the centered composition does work, I think a tighter zoom or off-centered crop would make this image even stronger.
