Exquisiste. I love the fact that it is coming toward the viewer as if I am looking down into it. Clear, crisp details and rich colors that move the eye around and from front to back. Keeping interest in the photo. Well done.

What a pretty photo,,I so love the colour purple when it comes to flowers, these you have captured perfectly,,the two really focused while all the buds in the back just fuzzy and soft looking,,love the rest of the background, well placed and balanced photo,,really pretty

This is so lovely. I love how you've shown the sharp details of the stamens. The soften, dark background, surely enhanced the radiant, purple hues. Great color contrast, and the presentation is natural. but dramatic. Deserves to be on the wall. SIX!

Wonderful color combinations in this image! The purple really stands out and the overall softness of the entire composition is VERY well done.

Spectacular control of the Depth of Field is used to really make the foreground petals and stamens jump out at the viewer!

Purple and yellow, magnificent in nature and your background diffused with echoes of purple softness into black.

I like the compositional style very much, sharp and clear to study.

Visually full of impact and you get a perfect score from me on this one.

Another one Olga?? hmmnn....I entered one just a couple of weeks ago. Guess I should keep a more watchful eye on contests. I am very happy w/ this photo. Worked for days trying to get all the different phases of opening blossom into one crisp photo. So appreciate your comments. Thank you so much.

Have you tried photo stacking? Shooting many on different apertures then blending them to get a sharp image?

Not yet. I love the pieces Brian has posted using photo stacking and I do think it would work perfectly on this flower. I need to get a tri-pod first...lol...won't work w/o one. Hopefully, by next season.

Lovely perfect Lavender flowers. Hard to believe the flowers are so tiny with this great close-up that you shot. The fine details you show us are excellent and they show off the vivid purple and the delicate radiating centers with almost a bee's eye view. Thank you so much for sharing.
