Awesome creative and mood rendering work, sysop. I like your choice of utilizing black and white and lighting to create the tone and conviction behind this picture. The clarity and detailing with the fogged background really pulls the eye in to focus on the tension and desperation found within this painful grasp.

This is an outstanding photograph. It shows a message and is surreal the bluring of the background makes this very eerie and the prominance of the hands on the wire trying to climb out gives me a shiver

I got a shiver myself when I first saw it in the little led screen on the camera. The background is indeed clouds in a darkening sky at sunset on an overcast day. Thanks

This photograph tells a story that no words can capture. I like how you have used black and white for the dramatic feel, composition and framing is excellent, contrast and focus is very good. Well done.

The pain is incredible and the desire for freedom to be attained in overwhelming. I see this as breaking out of an emotional place.

Stark and bold presentation of such force to go on
against this hurdle; the hairs on his arm show just
enough and the barbed wire sharp!!

I am a fan of the Black and white photography. The detail in this picture is great. I like the look that you are going for. Nice job

I've always been a fan of BW myself, since I built my first darkroom (colour and all those temps were too complicated for me), though I have tried tinting and liked it. Though I took this image digitally, I made sure I wouldn't be tempted by shooting with the camera in dedicated Black and White mode. I just couldn't see it any other way. thorough the wire alone was my original intended target, I had to try the hands to get the sensor to focus properly. This is my first and only take. I didn't revisit it for a second kick at the cat. Thanks for your comment.

This pic is great! Makes me think of where this place is that needs breaking out of. Maybe a PoW camp or off military base. Don't know. Keeps you guessing which is great.

actually it's the front entrance to a chicken processing plant. (My week-end job), felt creative.

great stuff, really good to see a photograper on these pages creating art instead of scenes from the real world, 10 points and keep up the good work.

it makes me feeel for this poor soul, trapped behind this barbed wire. it shows strength against adversity. the black and white adds to the emotional impact. you are an artist

What a very powerful image. I don't really like to think what the person in the image must be feeling, I think you have captured an event that is very relevant to this time especially.
I think the lower part of the image could have been either lighter or darker, maybe.
I think this picture makes you think.

I was the person in the photo. I was hoping that I wouldn't shake with an eight of a second exposure.
