Nice one Willie and you sure captured a rare moment with the middle of a blink! The focus is pin sharp and the colors are true to nature! The blue water acts as a perfect contrast drawing the eye to the beautiful heron! Fortunate for you he stayed put! Lovely close up!

Exceptional capture, Willie. Really like the clarity throughout. Wonderful eye detail, too. What a treat seeing half inner and half outer eyelid. (Reminiscent of the Tiger Eye stone in color, hues, and markings, except pupil of course). Wonderful head/neck pose within frame. And a Great Blue, too! Wonderful. And he does indeed have down on his spear-shaped bill tip. Excellent colors; nice cropping. Could have left a little more to right, but still great the way it is.

A very nice side on capture set against good blue water. Like the curving neck leading to the head and impressive beak. Your photo is very sharp and the exposure is excellent providing us with really good detail to enjoy. Very good shot, well done!
