Great artwork! The nuances in the waves are just wonderful, they show movement very well and they look cold. The art piece also has good texture.Great representation of this media. Well done! ARTIST56

Really beautiful compositon, that captures the peace and tranquility of the beach. Like the mixtures of colors, as the shades of blues work very well.

This looks awesome. I love the colors playing against each other o bring out such tantalizing waves and beach. The shore looks so inviting and warm. A little bit of storm peaking at the horizon. Excellent work!

Very clever and realistic painting.. You have really captured the feel of the water and the sand. Feel my self peeling my socks and shoes off for a paddle. Well painted.

Sometimes it's hard to really see a piece when you have to look past the flash of a camera but you know, for this piece, I think it works to your advantage! To try and paint/draw the water, I think is one of the hardest things to try. Your depiction of the water is great and love that you included the shoreline. I've been trying to do the small waves that hit the shore as to the left and think I understand better now how it's done. Love the way you depict the sand as another small wave comes to the shore. Great coloring! When I look, I feel as I'm watching the water receeding back to the sea, the next small wave coming in, the next and next waves. Then the deep open blue. Great job with the greeens and blue! The clouds are really lovely and you did a great job with the light tint...same as the shore. The blue is lovely. The light blue is just enough to give you a feeling of depth there. Wave tops are great and how you depicted the water rising to the top and crashing. Now, what I meant about the flash....to me, it's as is you brought in the bright sun through the clouds that shines its bright light just in that area. Know what I mean??? It carries from the clouds to the shore. Your light pinks in the water just after the first wave from foreground are highlighted a bit more from the light. Make sense? Am wondering....if you took this image into PS and added more light in the same areas as the flash (only a hight of light because it's already brighter) what it would like? Reason for the thought is that you'd almost have a road map I think to bring out that thought...bright sun burning through one spot on the painting. Anyway, just a thought and I'm not trying to offend you. Really a lovely painting and this encourages me a bit to try in oils as well as enjoying it. Annie

Many thanks for your detailed review and taking such time to study the painting. I love using oils and am sure you'd enjoy using them too. I also use watercolour and pastels but sometimes feel you can get more impact with oils. Thanks again.

Hi,

Marvelous Oil painting.. You are very talented indeed, the horizontal line appears as neatly applied, your attention to the waves specimen is really attractive, it came with an excellent presentation, and excellent color harmony too. Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely beautiful. So true to life and so full of the energy and vigour of the ocean. How you paint those waves I just don't know but it looks marvelous and I also love the water on the sand in the foreground.
