Lighthouses hold a special place for me. But I think it's not the lighthouse that is my draw but the whole environment in which it is placed. This one for me is serenity a place where I would desire to be to just soak in the moment. A place where I can come to the long needed cleansing of that which detracts me from enjoying this life. It is missing much perhaps an empty blanket on the sand to pull me further into it.

I spent many years in NC while in the Marines. I love lighthouses and this is very nice. Impact for me is a 5. Visual another 5. Nice use of color. Has a very good overall lose feel that I like in oils, makes those viewing it want to visit.

I just had to sit here for a few minutes, and enjoy your art work. I think the composition is great, I know your main focus is the lighthouse, because of all your little details takes my eyes straight to it. Leading lines works great for your lighthouse. Colors used are great. Thank you for sharing your artwork

Very impresssive seascape painting. I love lighthouses. The path leading there draws you to it. It eludes a very solitude and be still air. I love it. Great work. :)PD

What a lovely piece of work..Love the whole scene..We have a lot of scenes where I live..Maine.
I can just imagine the breeze coming up off the water, seagulls flying over the water and bees buzzing around the foliage.
The salty tang in the air, and the hot sun beating down on my head.
Good shadows and the lighting is really well applied.
A wonderful creation!

A calming and serene painting. Good rule of thirds. The path leads the eye to the lighthouse and then the horizon moves them across the image and back down to the little pilings. Very well done. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting and informative notes. Painting of seascape can be very challenging and it requires good understanding of light and colours and patience. You have shown that in this lovely painting done in the classical way.Keep them coming!
