What a beautiful soulful picture. It is simple and lovely. The look in her eyes compliments the mood. The soft colors add beauty. Exquisite!

Dearest Kerry, the fact that this is such an old drawing and you are critiquing it just amazes me. I am so appreciative of your thoughts and feelings on this picture. Thank you so much

Your are correct in that the eyes are the windows of the soul. I think you have done a more than excellent work with this art.
She is beautiful, every part.
Looks a little pouty, love her styled hair and the simple attire. You have placed shadows perfectly.
Truly a beautiful work.

It is one thing to read emotion in the eyes of a living person and quite another to draw such feeling in pencil. What talent you have; what beauty you have created and drawn. The way you have drawn shades and highlights is exceptional. Her skin is soft and natural in appearance. Her gown has a silky effect as would be seen in real life. Many artists try to imitate life...but you have succeeded. I wish I had a six for you. It is that good and better!

A lovely simple portrait of a girl. You can't quite tell what she is thinking or what emotions she is hiding from the viewer behind a mask.
You have beautiful tonal differences in the skin, seamlessly moving from shadow to full light. The dress has a wonderful glow that you would see on silk. The draping and pull of the cloth is drawn so well. Thank you for sharing.

Dearest Sessy, you are so explicit in your reviews. I am thrilled. When I began drawing this, I didn't know how I would pull off the silk gown, but it came through. So I am so happy that you liked it.

Good Morning

Good composition and quality of image. Good light and shading of her face.

The background is very good for the soft and somewhat dark lower areas on the image.

Face is very well presented with her reserved impression. She is not unhappy but rather set back and a bit reserved. The look is definitely on the less than happy side.

Interesting story here. I think perhaps weariness more than any other.

Roger

This is a beautiful sketch. I am impressed with how you have captured the eyes. The expression is well done. I like the lighting and the darker background helps to make her stand out. Stunning.

How I wish I had more stars to give. Everything shines in this beautiful work you have created. The eyes, shoulders and dress are perfectly presented. Your statement about the eyes is so true and you have captured something very special here. The composition and placement is well thought out. Beautiful just beautiful. Great work.
