This drawing is stunningly beautiful. Her eyes look straight through me as I sit here looking at her. The light gently playing across her and falling onto the folds of her satin dress. This is simply outstanding work. Thankyou so much for sharing this, it is a great pleasure to view. Karen.

Linda, I want you to know that I promise to upgrade this review to a 6+ as soon as the site loads me back up with all 2 of them, LOL. I simply have to go ahead and do my comments immediately because of one simple reason. Your drawing of this angelic girl with human eyes and angelic eyes is absolutely perfect. I hope that everyone takes a real good look at this work because it appears to me that it is perfect in every aspect, in every direction. Perfection in pencil. PENCILBOMDIGITY!! The lighting you have rendered is perfect. Every tone is perfectly done. Masterful, Linda. Yes, if you look this beautiful young lady in the eyes, you will be moved by the soul that is in the window. Her eyes are so captivating that you hardly notice the superb skill of the satin dress. Amazing, ladies and gentlemen, how hard point graphite from a pencil can be trans formed into smooth rich satin! Well, I have given another one of my famous speeches, but I have just one request. May I have one of your old, worn down pencils to keep in my paint brush caddy just for good measure? LOL, I'm serious! Absolutely wonderful work, Linda. God bless your hand!

Mike

A very well conceived painting and a pleasure to view. Your shading is excellent and the highlights are well placed. Her very calm demeanor is a interesting pose and this is a fine work of art to see. Thanks dennis

Amazing as usual! You have a talenet for both realism and doing portraits of people.
Not sure if I've already asked you this, but have you ever considered trying painting? Would love to see what you could do with colour. (Although, b/w does have it's own beauty.)

    Dear Mike,
Simple passion. Black and white. I am a cheap artist. Thus a pencil is the tool. That, and sketch paper. I know that I must expand my horizons, but I am reluctant. Maybe one day I will step into the world of color.

The tonal blending flows really smoothly with the gracious sensitive impressions of the how romantic the woman looks like in the public.

She seems to look right through the viewer, like she knows something! You did such a masterful job on this one my friend! Love the eyes that are surely the windows of the soul, the gloss makes them seem so perfect and real! I like the way you have the hair over and the make up, she looks like a model. You do so well with the light and dark areas, especially how they melt into each other, giving such a realistic appeal as well as a natural look. Love how you make the creases stand out so nice and I like everything about this piece. The eyes are wonderful in this piece, I keep gravitating back to those eyes which seem to raw me in! You are such a wonderful artist, thanks for sharing this wonderful piece. Take care and god bless Linda!

This is really very beautifully drawn and maybe in this genre you don't mess with it, but i think to have colored her eyes only like green would have been amazing. Shirley

    OH Snowpaw,
To add color or not; that is the question. Maybe I will try it sometime. A fear factor must be overcome,
