This is a really beautiful portrait. I like the lighting play on the side of her face, shoulders, chest and waist.

If they had a ten star, your work would always be the highest rating. I know it seems I always repeat myself when it comes to your work, but your talent is always so amasing, no words can discribe it. It is always such an honor to get to view this type of talent. I'm so glad you joined this site and have given all of us on here the pleasure of viewing such remarkable talent

Another beautiful portrait. Is this young woman related to you? Or I'd this you. Her eyes are warm and showing love. Graceful neck and full lips. She's a much more pretty Angolina. Perhaps a ballet dancer.

Congratulations on a wonderful piece of Graphite. The range of values really works well and gives a lovely softness to the skin. The garment as a real sheen to it as if it was silk. Proportions wise it looks absolutely fine to me.I have found that black colour pencil is really good for pure black backgrounds as it does not give a glare...Beautiful work

WOW! Those eyes are absolutely mesmerizing, they look right through the viewer. This beautifully rendered work asks many more questions than it answers. For me that's bonus time! Love the positioning of the subject to the right of center.A mysteriously outstanding work. Thanks

The" I within the eye" often refers to the relationship of ones inner being (Self) to all that surrounds one. It has the experience of being highly intimate, often referred to a sovereign or divine experience (any and all feelings and expressions within are FREELY received and given without judgement or expectation) Often men are hard wired for the physical or sexual experiences whereas the feminine is more apt and capable (today at least) to connect as such a deep level. Here her external beauty is undeniable and seductive, the slight shadow on her right side of her face gives us pause to know our own shadows of seduction are always in play and need to be acknowledged and integrated. Then there is the light side and so well expressed with her eyes, her lips and squared shoulders. It is best to know and manage our shadows rather than have control us. When experienced much of this energy finds its way creating and discovering more authentic moments. Hence the inner mystery of paradox.Shadow and light. If your pencil drawing were life size .. one could gaze directly into the subjects eyes for a period of time, eventually her body and form would dissolve leaving us with the connection to not just her soul but our own. The peripherals all fade away and like the Greeks said, "what is really real" One can do the same with others in everyday life with a like minded partner. By silently staring deeply focused into the others eyes for an extended period of time ... one might experience what you have created in your art. Intimacy. I won't continue to harp on the incredible talent you have Linda and I sure hope your work is being viewed by the critics with a discriminating eye (which honestly you are not going to get very little of here on FAR). If not already I hope your work finds its way to a much larger audience. Kindest regards
Tom

Tom, it is amazing to me that you took the time to get into the deep, soul searching aspect of art. Not just on the surface level, the drawing part of it, but the soul level, which I believe all creative people strive to express in their work. A part of us finds it's way into everything we create. Thank you for expressing yourself so articulately , and beautifully. I appreciate this review so much.
