I would love to know what she is thinking. I'm torn between her being a bit angry and determined over being weary and sad. eye of the beholder i suppose. the technical skills you carry are amazing. she looks real.

Julie, thank you for your wonderful review. I like to think that she is determined.

Exquisite presentation of total loveliness and grace. A gentle and innocent portrayal of heart and soul that speaks not a word, but oh my goodness, says so very much/ There is always such a soft and quiet approach in your work, that says so much that is profound and worthy of listening to. This is truly total excellence and a pleasure, always, to view your fine work.

everyone always focuses on the eyes..is there life and so on..the eyes r excellent but i see more..i see the perfect shading done so perfectly that it enhances the depth in the girl all over. the detail as always is excellent. such a well balanced sketch that is very eye pleasing to the viewer. linda waiving her pencil wand again and making a perfect creation that it excites the eye of the viewer..overall superb work (standing clapping and cheering) woooooooooooohooooooooooooooooooo!

type of art? oh i can relate..u know it has been decades till finally the art world has acknowledge sharpie as an art medium..see sharpie is really a office medium..of course they call it now a training tool for young future artist..shame i havent seen anything on the sharpie website that shows me these kids know how to blend colors yet..i had one ask me to give him some tips..i said sure.."practice".thats how i learned with my medium...in the past i would hear comments like "hey nice drawing, so when r u going to do some real artwork like painting..etc"..u have an awsome talent with the pencil..and u know aint it funny there is always someone out there suggesting for u to try another medium..i feel like saying."why is there something wrong with the one im using?" u have the awsome talent and its as far as u want to push it..I challenge that pencil..see how far u can take the special effects with that medium..i assure u..u will surprise urself on every creation..oh if they give u a bad rating on work like this..they r either jealous or blind..in the blind case tell them to come see me to borrow my glasses..wink

Sorry I don't have anymore 6 star ratings because this drawing is stunning. I remember when I first started to draw I asked a more experience artis for advice and she said don't be afraid to go dark. Clearly you don't need that advice because you do a deautiful job with your level of tones.

I can't express to you how very much I appreciate what you have just told me. I want so much to go dark, the darker the better. I am still looking for a pencil that will give me the darkest of dark. Thank you so much for your very insightful words.

Have you tried using a 3B charcoal pencil. It's what I used to get the dark background on my Elvis drawing

It is amazing to me how you can capture the light and shadows so distinctly with pencil. This is a great example of your professional talent and creativity. Her features are so real and perfect yet at the same time so surreal and human. Amazing... absolutely... amazing.
