I too have pics of hurricane Ike
Living along the gulf coast, we have a mystery ship from 1800's washed ashore.
Stay tune for some pictures.

Thanks for your generous review. I have read about the 1800's ship. Of curse I'll stay tuned.

Cleo, a great photo, wonderfully composed. Great colours. Truly evocative photo that communicates the emotions extremely effectively, yet not a sappy kitsch. I would pay greater attention to water in the future. I like water to be either frozen with shutterspeeds of at least 1/500 sec r in some cases to produce a cotton candy effect with shutterspeeds equal to or slower than 1/4 sec. Shutterspeeds in between are giving unsharp photo of the water, which is not as effective as it could be, in my view. Congratulations. I am not in a habit of giving too many 5 stars. Pavel

Thank you so much for your throughout review and the generous rating. I will pay more attention to the water. I admit I was in a fancy with the very fast changing cloud formations. Thank you very much for your advice. I appreciate this even more then the 5 star rating [what doe's not affect the honor of the 5 star]. -Heidi [cleo]

Awesome picture. I love the colors and how the clouds seem to fill the entire picture. What makes it even better is that they're all separate clouds not a single one. The notes help to tell the pictures story. And a great one it is. Thank you for sharing this photograph.

I really like this image and it has even more meaning knowing the story behind the dramatic sunrise sky.

Your camera did a very good job - and in many respects the only improvements in order to make a wonderful print would be down to the technical limitations of the camera and a little sharper if tripod mounted.

This rating does not count towards story rating or author rank.

Thank you for your constructive critic and your helpful comments. It is to seldom that I get one of them.
There is one correction I have to make. It's not the limitation of the camera. The camera is excellent. These limitations are mine.
The camera settings weren't completely right [I couldn't even see it]
The camera were handhold. Consider there was an hurricane lurking. There was no way to put an tripod on a very rocky and soft sandy beach with winds of about 30 Miles a hour. But that is no excuse I know. I posted the picture more for its message then its quality.

1.Forces of nature with its powerful fiery colors as if there is fire in the air. As it is, it expresses all its force alongside its myth and mysteries within.
3. Extremely versatile and dangerously beautiful piece of work and very meaningful in what the forces of nature can do. The darker and powerful side of the picture is excellently depicted.
4. No superlative to describe.

Thank you so much for your generous and insightful review. It is always a pleasure to read a review and realised that the viewer not only looked at the picture but actually saw what is in it.

Great job with the look of the sky here of the storm that caused so many such sadness and grief. The colors are wonderful and the clouds have different textures and form to them. The yellow at the bottom right spreads outward and then the darker clouds with the bit of reddish underneath is very cool. Matches the height of the shoreline there. The look of the water is lovely with just lazy waves coming in. Really a great capture. Mother nature is so powerful and shows it more times than not. Great capture! Enjoyed your sunrise. Annie

I use this type of camera. Its easier to handle. I see such creation in this beautiful shot and a whirlwind of the Spirit. We are reminded of this storm and yet, hopefully, the calm. Thankyou for the wonderful color in this shot and for story telling.

Nice job of capturing nature at its best. I feel so calm and relaxed when I look at this. I love how it takes me away from the everyday stress and rat race. I wouldn't change a thing. Keep up the good work.
