OK, I am going to tell you the truth. I love this picture! Wow, it is awesome! I love the the waves, the rocks, the buildings in the distance, and, of course, the sky and the clouds! The golden color is amazing! I wonder if you had to wait for the right time to take this picture. I just ramble on don't I? Anyway, you are a great photographer and artist, too! Keep up the great work!

Thank you so much for your enthusiastic review.
Yes these scenes aren't there all the time. Actually it was a hurricane passing by but fortunately not passing over us.
But I'm also very lucky to live in an area were the forces of nature are amazing, the sunsets and sunrises mostly beautiful and the colors of nature amazing.

The surge looks gigantic, cleo.
Reminds me of a biblical scene where there is a beginning shot of Charlton Heston parting the waters.

Your colors are striking, intense and dramatic,

It is a powerful image showing the considerable pushing, pulling, and lifting of the water. And the lighting intensifies the feeling. Probably amplified from the filters you used but can't imagine a more intense feeling.

There is a beautiful vividness with the brighter light from the sky and how it darkens into a redness and then vignettes outward to the dark.

Excellent entry for "not natural anymore."

Best of luck!

Thanks Zen, for your beautiful review and the wishes. The biblical scene didn't accrued to me but you are right the scene has something of this eternal power. I think maybe down her in the tropics we feel these powers more direct. The nature isn't a green machine hand groomed by people. It didn't lose it's magic and mystery jet. I'm babbling. I'm unable to say what I mean myself: "There is more between earth and sky as the human being could imagine" [Shakespeare-Hamlet. I translated it back from German so it's not the original line]

Really nice work, Cleo. The colors here are so dramatic and really create an intense mood. You have captured the swell of the wave very well--great job.

Thank you so much. The artist here isn't me but nature. I'm just a tool here.

The dramatic energy that you have managed to portray weather it was at exposure or in the filters rendered is quite awesome. A challenging exposure well handled. Thanks for sharing.
