This has a quality about it that fits the poem perfectly, cleo.

This is an interesting coincidence for me - I too, was going to enter the contest. Even paid the fee to enter. And then when I went to enter the photo - only then did I notice that it wasn't for photography.

But wasn't that a wonderful poem. I'm so glad I saw it.

Back to your image - I like what you've done with the glass pattern filter. It enhances the feeling of solitude. I'm glad you went ahead and posted it.

    Thanks for your beautiful review.
I had reserved a spot and paid the fee too. Lots of people seam to had the same problem. You are the fifth one telling me. I think everybody was so captured by the beautiful poem that nobody read the rest. You should post your picture.

I think I might do that. It was of a girl hugging her horse that she had to sell. One of those emotional ones. lol.

Beautiful portrait.
So soft and dreamy.
Her expression is telling the story.
Great textures and color.
Solitude is the perfect title.
Great moody image.
She seems so vulnerable and innocent.
Beautiful work.

Would have been great for the contest. I had the same problem-with not reading those rules!
This is so pretty. Such a soft quiet feel to it with the effects you have used. The tilt of her head and the way you have finished the eyes does give an impression of solitude and loneliness. Wonderful colors and her skin tones are so clear and fresh. A really great job.

Thank you so much. It is one of my favorite images. Reading the poem I know that was it. I didn't read the rest until to late. I think several people did have that problem. You are the thirt telling me.

This is very lovely Cleo. Too bad you could not enter this in the contest. I like the effects that you applied to her fact, the tones are really lovely, particularly on her skin. Shirley
