This is so you, didnt even have to read your notes to know it was just peace love and hapiness:) Really well done on communicating this message in such a simplistic yet effective way. Best wishes for Christmas to you and your family:)

One of the most picturesque photos of the Mexican Folk Art Nativity scene I've ever seen, cleo. Charming in every way.

Love the arrangement and the balance you've got with the painted figurines. The special star, the musical notes from the original Christmas carol, the background - all add up to a special and very unique image.

A really beautiful work of art you've created with so many special touches. It's obvious you put in a lot of thought to creating this.

And thanks for the notes on the origin of the Christmas carol. I've never taken the time to research it or seen it mentioned anywhere.

All the time and effort you took to create this special Nativity scene has to move you to the top of the list.

Awesome feat.

Thank you so much my pink glassed friend. You have seen everything I've put in. You are the only one who has piked up on the arrangement of the figurines. I put them in that special [diagonal] order just as they are added to the center of the original Mexican Nativity in timely order of their arrival, beginning with the Virgin Mary, Joseph and the Angel. Than the shepherds and sheep. The Baby Jesus is out of timely order but he belongs to the Holly Pear and I have a hint for that in the comments. Baby Jesus will be add in the night following Christmas Eve [the last day of the Posadas]. Finally the Mahdi will be add on Three Kings Day [6 of January].
You are good on seeing what I put into the picture but once again you didn't see the flaw. I was work-blind until it was pointed out in some of the reviews and it was to late to start over. I've overblown the background so that some of the figurines got washed out. And something what people think is electronical noise came in. If you look closely you'll see it.

Nice postcard type appeal. High impact and story telling. A little busy but you had the luxury with this genre. I am not fond o the noise reduction filter or whatever is going on apparently throughout the entire work. A minor complaint.

Thank you Boyd, for your kind review.
It isn't the noise reduction filter. It isn't noise at all. There wasn't any noise in the original. I put that accidental in by over blowing the background. [just work-blindness] I didn't realised it before I was told by FAR members. There wasn't enough time to the contest deadline to start over again. The picture has to remain as it is. But I appreciate your input very much. It will be helpful in the feature were I pay more attention. Thank You

Like the creativity in the blending of the 3 images. The notes at the bottom really add a nice touch. Think the green blurring lights are a little over bearing. Instead of cutting around the notes Maybe try a fade in color. Like the theme and the creativity in presentation. Thanks for sharing with us.

Thank you very much for your helpful review. You are absolute right the background is overblown. I didn't realised it before but see it now. Sometimes we are to blind in the process of work it seams. The blowing in color is an excellent idea but I have to find out how to do it sins I haven't Photo Shop. My older programs don't have a useful feature for it and I'm relative new to Paint Shop still learning it. Probably easier just to write/paint in the music next time.
I haven't enough time left to change the picture before the contest deadline so the picture has to remain as it is for now. But I appreciate your input very much. I will be very helpful for the feature.
    Thank you again. ~Cleo

My favorite Christmas Carol and I like your imaginative creation depicting the visitors to the manger that night. Most colorful and festive. I can hear them all singing quietly. Good show.

This is a very sweet piece to view. I love the bright colours on the figures and the arrangement is really well done. My only thought is that the green light sometimes overlaps the figures faces

Thank you so very much for your kind review. You are absolute right: I have overblown on the background lights but didn't realised it at the time having own-work-blindness. Thank you for pointing it out. It is to late now for a change but I'll pay more attention in the feature.
