A beautiful seascape painting Suzanne. The sea is a little choppy as you say and the clouds look threatening too. Very well done and thanks for sharing.

Regards,
Robin.

Gorgeous image. Love the light reflected on the waves. The brush strokes that shape the waves are amazing. The sky in its cloud formation almost mirror the shape of those waves. The colours are so deep and strong. The rocks that frame the sea look very intimidating. Wonderful piece of art.

What a great pic. I especially like the light. As a photographer I envy your freedom, as a painter, to create the light you want. Very dramatic, can almost hear the waves crash. Thanks for this.

Many thanks for your very nice review. No, there aren't many scary things in NZ! Only people! Suzanne

Wonderful painting Suzanne with tremendous texture and beautiful color. You show the choppy seas with the waves crashing to shore quite well. The power in the water is very evident with the white caps. Brilliant composition contrasting the textured rocks and sky.

Suzanne, it is always a real treat to view your fine, expressive, realistic seascapes. They always deserve an extended viewing in favor of all of the natural goodness forever present in these seascapes. You have studied the character of the sea with intent passion, and it is very evident. It is beautiful. I love it and feel it, can fancy the fragrance of the mist, the air. There is so much artistic balance in this artistic moment. So very nice. Totally enjoyed. Thanks.

Mike

Thank you so much for your lovely comments, Mike. I've spent a great part of my life living by the sea in the UK and also in New Zealand and have always felt a great affinity to it and enjoy trying to capture its many moods. So pleased you like this one. Suzanne

Very, very beautiful painting. I love how it is mainly blue. You have so much detail in it. Your technique is wonderful. It has a realistic and a fantasy feel both at the same time. Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.
