The combination of the real and the nearly abstract has merit and it adds great charm to this pic. Well done, bravo, Cheers, Don ((grassroots08)

A perfectly lovely couple and the surrounding you have created for them is great. The roses are so soft and really compliment the crispness of your friends photo. Wonderful entry for the Valentine's contest. Best of luck!

Thank you so much. I experimented a bit with these roses. I wanted them soft and dreamily for love but still real and recognisable for the reality love has to face.

You did a very nice job on them. They have turned out really well.

Thank you. Actually the picture isn't complete finished but I think it works as it is. I don't have my programs at the moment. We had to go in Emergency to Texas for medical. My husband is in the hospital.

This is a beautifull photograph, love the softness around and the way you have framed the couple, very nice choice for the contest, just try to clone the highlighted area as its bothering a little. Overall nice photograph, and all the best for the contest.

Timely portrait of a beautiful couple-for Valentine's Day. You've captured the mood and your collage is done very tastefully and professionally. The colors all compliment each other and the total effect is just perfect. The lighting is done very well with the woman's face being slightly highlighted -good details in the shadows without blowing out the highlights. Wonderful!

It does speak for itself. No words needed.

Both of your friends are very photogenic and share their inner feelings with the soft but strong outer glow.

Love the soft contrast and out of focus image of the flowers with the strong contrast of their facial features.

A nice feeling with this image that has that sort of magical touch - as you've said - that takes care of not needing any words.

Beautiful colors and I like the placement of their heads and the expressions. Adventurous in spirit and style.

Thank you so much for your beautiful review. I'm happy you like the picture.
I had started work on it at home but was cut by the 'circumstances'. I wasn't sure if the picture is ready but to tired to find out last night. I hope you are right. I have to go back to the hospital [across the street]. Phil is still in ICU but doing very well.
[The couple are our Veterinarian and his wife. He saved Lucky. Taught you like to know.]

Thanks, cleo. Those little asides are always fascinating when they play so prominantly into the background of an image. I'm amazed that through all the chaos and busy schedule you're still finding time to stay in touch. Again - best to you and Phil. Glad to hear he's doing okay now. Blessings to both of you.

Thanks so much for asking. Phil is still in the ICU but doing OK. It's an military hospital. I'm with him throuought the day. I, as his wife got a room with Internet access in the guest house on base 5 min away. [Internet works better than at home]. Since I'm an insomniac I have the nights to work.
It's cold and foggy here. The weather were it doesn't rained or freeze but both of it is in the air.

Sounds like the opening line - "It was the worst of times and it was the best of times." - with many variations in between.

May all continue to go well.

    Thanks.
It will go well, of curse. We just came over the high mountain again. It's only hill country now.

Nice to hear that - it's methaphor of course - but Texas does have some nice hill country. Travel safely.

    We will. Thanks.
[I know the Texas hill country. It is beautiful. Found the store with the sun catchers I used for Hummingbird Dreams there in a little town called Boerne]
