Beautiful capture!! I love the color of the flower. It's stunning! The blurry in the background conveys beautifully and in details this flower. The shape is lovely and original. I am not good at all at plants' name! I could not say what it is.

The 'fuzziness' of the back petals is intentional since it focused on front and stamen. I was going for this look since I tried to give an old time film lock not and brilliant digital. The nature light on this rainy day semed to ask for nostalgie.

I guess there are two schools of thought concerning these type photos. Most people scan a photo left to right, so the question is what is most important to be seen first. I would have rotated this just to see what the difference in impact would be.

I had taken photos of the flower from different angles and liked this one best.
I prefer to get the best result with the camera, not with post processing. But reading your suggestion I rotated my original but still like the version I post better

I love this photograph. It's so soft and sweet with wonderful setting. I know Cactus but rarely see its flowers. Somebody said its origin is in fact at the desert somewhere in Africa.

I like the colors you've captured with this one. I like the angle and how it shows so many differen facets of the bloom and the amazing colors.

I had some trouble with the light on this one. There was no light to speak of. It was early morning on a foggy, rainy day. I experimented with different settings. Many shots didn't turned out right but I liked this one. It seams to have a special mood. Other than 'good weather pictures'.
I should call it 'Mystery Cactus". Nobody seams to know this plants. It's not in my book. There are some what look similar but non with this colors. I spend hours on the net. I couldn't find it.

Beautiful bloom. I think that most of us would never think of a cactus having such pretty flowers. I like the composition and the detail even with the slightly soft feel to it. It really works.

We have many cactus here. Most bloom beautifully. Some are spectacular but the blooms won't last long.
