Really interesting details in this piece. It is just beautiful. Compositional structures reflect the inspired wisdoms from their depths.

Colorful sunrise, cleo, that looks a lot like watercolor paints with a nice blending of colors.

I'm sure the brushes you used are something else. I just don't know that much about brushes. But I do get a nice watercolor effect. The approach or technique I've seen with paint applied to wet watercolor paper seems evident.

The silhouette of the dog works well as the background indicates an especially bright morning that would place him in silhouette.

Your dog has a nice profile and the size and position places him in a good spot within the image. The open mouth and alert body seems to say he too is enjoying the view.

Nice to see you posting more art. Very nice.

    Thank you so much.
Yes this is what I tried. The watercolor effect. It needs a bunch of brushes to get it like this. These digital watercolors-filters really are never looking like real watercolors. At least not to me. But the most complicated for me is to digitally mix the colors to get the right shade and then to blend them. Right now it seams more complicated as with traditional colors and paper or canvas. But I'm still in first grad of digital school, will be a wile till graduation.
The idea for the silhouette came from a bunch of photos were lucky is silhouettet. He has an easy profile for this.
And yes the impression that he is enjooying the view is intentional. I know dogs can't see colors but I think they enjoy the light coming up and the feel of warmed...and of curse the morning walk.
Thank you so much for your uplifting and encouraging review.

Amazing insight - I had no idea dogs can't see in color. What an appreciation it seems that would add to their enjoyment of life. But I guess it's true in this case that sometimes what we don't know doesn't hurt us. I imagine that if we had the gift to see through their eyes we would have different and just as meaningful appreciations.

Thanks for the comments of the techniques with watercolor. How delightful and fulfilling it has to be in experiencing the different mediums. Certainly must make our take on life more visual and increase our measure of seeing. If only we had more time. Or perhaps it is an encouragement for us to make the best use of our time. Many thanks for the lovely note.

I'm sure dogs have the same meaningful apprehensions as we do. Just on a different level. Just think how we intake black and white photos.
And account to the Vet; dogs haven't a good eyesight in any case. they do everything with their nose. Imagine we had the nose of a dog! Would that be good? Yes and no I think there are some smells...Anyway I think it would be the same for a dog having our eye sight: Good and bad....
It is an encouragement to make the best of our time. I'm sure.
Thanks for the even that lovely note

I don't know - I'll just have to work more with my nose and test the smells. Interesting observation.

I really like the effects you have achieved with the use of the digital paint and filters for this. the image has a nice silhouette appearance and stands out nicely against the sky.

Wow Cleo this is so creative and so meaningful (especially to a dog lover). This is what my dog sees first thing in the morning while out on a hike with me and my husband first thing in the morning. Love the warm tones and how they reflect off the ocean. I can see a smile on his face even in silhouette! Awesome and so creative for a contest entry!

Thank you so much Lynseey, for your encouraging review.
In fact I was inspired by what we both, the dog and I, see first thing in the morning.
Lucky [our dog] has always a smile on his face when walking.
