Thank you so much for your beautiful comments and your fantastic rating. I am thrilled that you liked my picture this much.

I love the colors. I love the waves cresting in contrast to what looks like calm behind it. The horizion line is beautifully marked which is sometimes hard to capture in a photograph.

Thank you so much. But would you please tell me what you dislike on the picture. IT is important to know what I'm missing.
reply by houkreative on 25-Mar-2009
I wouldn't personally add anything. If you really feel something is missing, I would think about something in the foreground, to make the veiwer feel the are peeping around it to see this beautiful sight. Maybe a rock formation or some blades of grass next time. Or a focal point something to focus the eye first. I do think it is wonderful as it is.

No, I don't feel that anything is missing literally. To add something would not feel right to me in the composition. Beside it I don't like to beautify and idealise photographs by adding what isn't there in nature. Adding is for Mixed Media what is a different art for me.
Forgive that I ask a wrong question. English is not my first language. I meant what is wrong with the photo in your point of view. You wrote in your review only what you like, not what you dislike. But you must have seen mayor mistakes because you gave 3 1/2 Stars, what actually read 3 stars and means [as I understand the guidelines] the photo has potentials but it needs mayor improvement and lab work to be average quality. So please tell me what I did wrong. I can't find it out.

Quite a striking view of the dark clouds and the nice blues of the water. Nice catch of the wave coming in on the right and the water rushing up on the beach. Impact, clarity, lighting and composition are very good. Good luck in contest. Thanks for sharing.

Perfectly beautiful, wolnderfully caught, clean and crisp shot of this coming storm with the water dancing in waves. The sky is dramatic, all colors are well toned and the beach is a great front for this work. I can almost smell the air because of your presentation.
Thanks for sharing.

Cleo, This is a beautiful landscape/ seascape. YOu have a dramatic sky. Also the way the water is breaking just wonderful. I would just crop out that light spot on the far right side. I find it pulls the eye out of the picture.

This is absolutely one gorgeous shot cleo. The tones are excellent. The waves with their fingers showing demonstrates a great shutter speed selection. The drama of the sky adds to this beautiful shot. Well done all around. Good luck in the contest.

Hi Cleo being an old salt of the sea I just used to hate to see this kind of weather on the horizon. I knew I was in for trouble. Being on the beach another thing I could get back to the cabin. Nice definition of the sand, surf, sea and the impending storm.

    Thank you so much.
I agree that kind of weather means usually trouble. Better get the boats out of the water. This here was one of the minor thunderstorms but it still eat the beach up.
