This is so soothing I want to get a beach chair and a blanket and sit on the beach for awhile and enjoy a glass of wine. Love the moonlight on the clouds.I can hear the ocean ..ah....

The subject is great. I am a nut about color. I can't help but feel that the use of muted variations of colors and stronger contrasts would make a stronger statement in the painting. At night , when the moon is out, the light is cool , but the rest of the light ray has to gosomewhere. It goes to the dark areas. The painting technique is good and the rythm and texture sets the mood. Put some more contrast color in it and you woud have a 5. ARTSEY

This is a painting that has very strong initial impact. It is beautiful in blue. The water and sky are most realistic. The view attracts and holds a person's attention. It is so pleasant to look at.

Nice blues and contrasting tones. Love the quiet and serene movement of the waves and the luminecent moon adds a nice touch. Good color, harmony, tones and composition as well as story.

Simply brilliant work Suzanne. There is so much I like about this - the limited pallette, the variations in the waves, the off center moon that is shining down on the water, and the frothiness as the water comes to the beach. Excellent piece, best wishes for the contest.

Beautiful. I love blue and you have almost every shade of blue known to man in this beautiful piece of art.
There is so much happening in this picture but it does not look at all busy.
The moon tipped clouds are lovely.
And the way you have captured light on the waves is stunning.

Susan, I really love this painting. It is simple in color and form but has a beautiful energy throughout. Painting water and sky has always been one of the extreme challenges in any medium. My attempts at painting water with oils always fell short of my expectations. This painting beautifully captures the feeling of the waves rushing towards the shore. One of the things that I like is the fact that there is not any shoreline. It adds a something that the viewer has to envision. This engages the viewer to ponder where the water is rushing to. Little nuances like this brings interest into the art. I also continues the energy of the water without inhibition, without end. Russ
