Many thanks for this stunning piece--it makes an apt accompaniment to my story SPOOKED! which features a "ghostly" reminder of a demoralizing past relationship. Credit in note. Cheers. LIZ

Fanstory has a contest going on...it is a one word story. One word. Hell, I can't even start a story but dozens of words float out. But it's a one word story. I would love to use your art work as part of my story.

My one word would be - Orgasm

The story is also about the picture - and what it sells/tells.

Fire and Ice are so much of what an orgasm is all about.

What do you think.

Thank you so much.

Thank you so much. I missed the contest. Yikes. It was only on for a few hours, and it slipped by me. Thanks for your great offer. I like this work very much - and I will find a perfect place for it -- I am working on a novel right now, but I have an idea that is brewing around in my head. I may just set the novel down for a few days, and write a story around your fire and ice... Thanks

My name on Fanstory is --- kokopelli

I will let you know when I get the story written, and will of course give you full credit for the art work.

    Thanks so much, Cleo...

This is a great painting, Cleo. You always show us your very creative side. To me, this is such an emotional look that cries out with sensuality!!! The red you have throughout the female form is very cool and is full of passion. Even with the bits of yellow. Outlining in white was a great idea. In a way, it could be that the male is trying to put out the fire in one sense. But, she is melting the will away with her love. Love the line just in white for her arm around his neck. The idea for his Ice tux...another great idea and the bits of ice scatered around him...another great idea. You feel the meltng. Also, at their feet, the feeling of the ice about with your blue tones, again, a great idea and with a few whisps of fire that break the white line. The black background makes this stand out all the more. This should be hanging in a couple's bedroom for sure!! lol Good luck and really enjoyed your painting. Annie

I think this is a wonderful and unique entry for the contest. I really like the contrasting color choices, the black background, and your thought process regarding his face works really well. Best wishes for the contest.

Love your colouring as they just bounce off each other. The artist in me can see a lovely flowing evening gown with a white crystal wrap. I like the flow of the dress as she moves forward. I very fashionable night it will be. Totally different story to what your version

Different story but a nice one and very possible. My pictures are open for individual interpretations. Actually that is what the artist in me like most: people having their own thoughts about my art.

Great interpretation in this fairly abstract piece. The colours represent what you are trying to portray very well. there is something sad to the posture and the black face adds to this. Very expressive cleo85. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you so much for your throuought review.
Question: I was told the white of the ice is to much of a contrast and should be dulled, what you think about it, I admire your work and color management so your answer is of high interest for me.

Thank you for your most kind reply, i am flattered that you should value my opinion in this way cleo.
Firstly, let me say that it is quite a contrast, however i feel that this is appropriate, that is what you are trying to portray? the strong ice, melting away with the even stronger fire?
To me it is like the fluid hot red is subsuming the structured patterned ice and making it a more fluid substance. Like the man is undergoing some sort of profound change. You express the importance and profundity of this with both his posture and the contrasts between the textures and colours of the two elements.

In my opinion, it should stay as it is.
    I hope this helps.

    Thank you so much.
This is exactly what I wanted and why the contrast as it is. I'm happy it comes over this way. I tried to lay transparent blue over trying the color of the blue ice on a glacier but it didn't work for me. I won't change the picture.
