What a great angle for this shot. Your light works fine for this and the blue of the sky shows this guy off so well. Nice presentation and your technqiue has worked well.

Great shot of this Osprey, Cleo. I love the way he is leaning over to look down at you! I dont' see any discoloration, so you must have gotten it fixed. The light on this is very good and I really like your composition with him rising up out of the corner :)

Well, I just answered your review but it shows up unanswered again. So maybe you get it twice.
Thank you very much. This guy is one member of a 'residential family' who is currently feeding a baby. Very exiding.
Yes I finally got an upload through yesterday morning without problem. I probably never find out what was wrong this night. There were rings all around the bird. I reloaded several times even used a different picture It all came out in horrible quality. Next morning - no problem. The mysteries of Internet I guess.

It always amazes me the strange things that can happen in an upload. It looks great now though and I imagine we'll be seeing the babies sometime soon--can't wait.

The have usually only one baby. We won't see it before it flies out almost mature. I know they are feeding because both parents fly to the nesting place in the jungle with food in their claws. but I won't go there in order not to disturb them. It's the first time we have a breeding pear after the devastating hurricans of 2005.

Well, that is a good sign that this pair has taken up residence and I understand that you wouldn't want to disturb them.

I don't notice the discoloriation so won't deduct since it wasn't your fault. I, too have occasionally had the same problem uploading a picture. This is amazing I love the detail and the angle of the bird. Would also like to now what he is perched on. It looks like a plant but too perfect and must be part of a building.

    Thank you so much.
I finally could reload the picture without problem yesterday. I deleted the note in the comments. It was something wrong wile uploading the night before but I probably never find out what.
He is perched on a plant. That "perfect building' is a coconut tree.

Beautiful shot! I totally admire this composition for many different reasons. The blue sky is the crowning glory here. The bird totally lights up against it. I like how I can see it perched on a palm tree branch staring intensely at maybe "lunch" The osprey look a lot like ours. You've captured some great detail, right down to his talons and sharp nails. Great focus showing great detail on the feathers. This is a shot I'd like to take myself.

Thank you so much Lynseey. You may have seen the picture in its original. Unfortunately something is wrong with now. the sky shows some discoloration in curves around the bird. I try to reload the picture but I'm unlucky with it so fahr.

This would have been a five star for me aside from the noise or distortion that is in the blue of the sky and around the bird himself. I think that it could still be cropped in some more not centering it of course but just cutting in some more. It also seems that the white balance is a tad off in the shot. All fixable in this really nice capture. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for your throughout review especially for telling me about the discoloration or what ever it is what shows up on the upload. It is not so in my original nor is the white off there but I can see on the upload to FAR what you mean. I tryed to reload the picture but I'm unlucky at this time. It got worse. Now there are three rings around the bird instate one as before. I don't know what is wrong but keep trying to replace the upload. Thanks again for telling me it's a great help. The photo is ruined as it shows up now.

Great photo - your subject (the bird) is magnificent, very interesting and quite handsome - love the blue sky - just a little too much sky though - I think this photo should have been cropped a little more.

Thank you for your kind review. I disagree with the cropping. I have a tighter framing but think it crowded the bird. I think the problem Is the discoloration especially of the sky what somehow came in with the upload. I tryed to reload but were unlucky. It got worse. I keep trying since the photo is ruined as it shows up at the moment.
